At the 2026 Access, Innovation & Disability Symposium, Dulce shared how her experiences as a student, advocate, and family caregiver reshaped her understanding of accessibility. Drawing on her father’s stroke recovery journey, she emphasized that true accessibility goes beyond physical access to include participation, belonging, and quality of life. The session highlighted inclusive resources such as the CU Art Museum, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, National Parks Access Pass, and adaptive recreation programs, while encouraging attendees to reimagine everyday life through a lens of accessibility, adventure, and community. Host: Dulce Valenzuela Speakers: Dr. Patricia Gonzalez
