I RETURNED TO HAKUBA… AND IT WAS UNRECOGNISABLE 🇯🇵❄️

One year later… I returned to Hakuba, and it was almost unrecognisable. 🇯🇵❄️ Coming back to the same place exactly a year later showed just how unpredictable the mountains can be. The conditions this time around were the complete opposite of what I experienced last year — almost like the Yin and Yang of Hakuba. ☯️🏔️ Same mountains. Same time of year. Completely different experience. This time, Hakuba was covered in snow, with poor visibility and conditions that made the mountain feel like an entirely different place. 🌨️🏂 That’s part of what makes travelling back to places like Hakuba so good — you can visit the same destination twice and somehow have two completely different adventures.
