One last duel before the format changes EVERYTHING! 🐉🔥 We’re back at Black Factory locals, bringing you another matchup featuring our Red Dragon Archfiend / Mitsurugi build against the legendary Branded strategy! This match was played right before the new Forbidden & Limited List was revealed over YCS weekend. Little did we know just how much both of these strategies were about to change! 🐉 OUR DECK: RED DRAGON ARCHFIEND / MITSURUGI We’re bringing explosive Resonator Synchro lines, powerful DARK Dragon boss monsters, and the Mitsurugi Ritual engine together in one aggressive build. The Resonators help us climb into our Red Dragon Archfiend monsters, while Mitsurugi adds Ritual plays, Tribute-triggered effects, and extra ways to generate resources. But with the new ban list, some of our favorite tools are gone. Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi is now Forbidden, and Called by the Grave has also been banned. That means changes are coming to our combos, our protection, and how we build our boards. The Resonators are going to need a NEW DANCE PARTNER! 💃🐉 🔥 OUR OPPONENT V’s DECK: BRANDED Branded is known for its Fusion-focused strategy, using cards such as Branded Fusion and its supporting engine to access powerful Fusion Monsters, generate advantage, and keep its plays going through the Graveyard. Its strength comes from connecting Fusion Summons with its extensive toolbox of follow-up effects and resources. But this duel takes place right before a major shake-up! ⚠️ THE BAN LIST HITS BRANDED HARD The October 19, 2026 TCG update brings some serious changes to Branded: 🚫 Albion the Branded Dragon — FORBIDDEN This is the biggest direct hit to the strategy in this update. Albion’s Fusion effect helps access Branded Spell/Trap resources and enables important follow-up lines. 🔒 Branded Opening — LIMITED TO 1 Branded loses access to multiple copies of an important engine-access card, making consistency more challenging. 🔒 Branded in High Spirits — LIMITED TO 1 Both sides have some rebuilding to do, and this duel captures a snapshot of the format right before everything changed! ⚔️ SYNCHRO POWER VS.
