On 24 November 1971, a man calling himself Dan Cooper hijacked Northwest Orient Flight 305 with a briefcase he said held a bomb, collected $200,000 and four parachutes in Seattle — and jumped from the rear stairs of a Boeing 727 into the night over southwest Washington. Almost fifty-five years later, nobody knows who he was. This is a second-by-second 3D reconstruction of that flight, built from the FBI's own case file.
Every fact on screen is labelled Confirmed, Reported, Claimed or Disputed. Where sources disagree, we say so. If you spot an error, tell us in the comments — corrections go in the pinned comment.
All 3D scenes are reconstructions: positions, aircraft details and some movements are illustrative. Mannequins are deliberately faceless.
