A sunken village revealed - November 2018

Derwent was a WW2 era village that was flooded to make way for the Ladybower reservoir in 1944. Due to a particularly warm summer where there was very little rain for 2 months, the village is currently now visible and the water may subside even further yet. It is amazingly well preserved, with the ruins of the church, Derwent Hall, the school and the water house clearly visible. Music is: Fear Not This Night - Soundtrack from Guild Wars 2
