Talk: Prayer - Standing in the gap

In her final talk on prayer, Veronica reflects on Psalm 106:19–23 and the powerful example of Moses, who stood in the gap for God’s people. Moses took the people’s sin seriously. He understood the consequences of their actions, yet he boldly interceded on their behalf, using everything in his power to plead with God to pursue a different course of action. This is a powerful picture of intercessory prayer — standing before God on behalf of others. As we pray for our families, friends, communities and our troubled world, we can be encouraged that our prayers matter.
