Lyrics : Everyone’s on line But you’re all disconnected You are millions and billions The day you die you die on your own It’s tearing me down The world has gone superficial It’s tearing me down Watching as you fall Everyone’s scrolling Scrolling but remember nothing Are your screens a window to the soul ? It’s ruining your mind It’s tearing me down The world has gone superficial It’s tearing me down Watching as you fall It’s tearing me down Watching you swipe is such a bore It’s tearing me down What you’re living for “Smombies” — a word combining “smartphone” and “zombies.” The song paints a picture of a society glued to its screens while the world is burning around us. Eyes locked on our phones, we consume, we scroll, we obey — while others make the decisions for us. A generation turned into connected zombies, flooded with images and drained of its anger. So unplug, look up, and take back control. But isn’t it already too late?
