In this video, we diagnose multiple fault codes triggered simultaneously by a faulty Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. Learn how to analyze live engine data, spot sensor shorts, compare MAP vs. Barometric pressure readings, and fix the issue quickly. Are you getting diagnostic trouble codes P0107, P2227, P2263, or P0101 on your 2009 Mazda BT-50 or Ford Ranger (PK/PJ series)? 🛠️ 📌 Timestamps: 📍 [00:04] – Introduction & Diagnostic Trouble Codes (P0107, P2227, P2263, P0101) 📍 [00:33] – Checking Live Scan Data: MAP vs. Barometric Pressure 📍 [01:00] – Identifying the Faulty MAP Sensor (Short to Ground Drop to 20 kPa) 📍 [01:29] – Unplugging and Replacing the MAP Sensor 📍 [02:00] – Clearing Trouble Codes & Test Drive Verification 📍 [02:30] – Key Takeaway: Proper MAP vs. Barometric Sensor Alignment 📍 [02:59] – Diagnostic Breakdown: Why P0107 Caused all 4 Related Fault Codes 🔑 Key Search Keywords / Tags: Ford Ranger MAP sensor replacement, Mazda BT50 P0107 fix, P2227 code diagnosis, P2263 turbo boost performance, P0101 mass air flow sensor range fault, Ford Ranger PK PJ diagnostic, live scan data troubleshooting, diesel boost pressure sensor fix. The faulty sensor showed elevated readings before dropping sharply to 20 kPa [01:00], signaling a shorted sensor. Testing & Replacement [01:29]: Unplugging the faulty sensor caused the circuit to open (255 kPa max). Installing a new replacement sensor immediately restored the reading to a matching 101 kPa [01:40]. Road Test & Code Clearing [02:00]: Codes were cleared, and a road test confirmed normal engine performance and parameter operation [02:24]. Technical Breakdown [02:59]: The video explains why P0107 was the root cause: Because the MAP reading was stuck low at 20 kPa during operation, the Engine Control Module (ECM) could not correlate air input across the MAP, MAF, and Barometric sensors. To protect the engine, the computer set cascading range/performance codes (P2227, P2263, P0101) because it couldn't verify which sensor was telling the truth. Fixing the primary circuit code resolved all associated faults. #FordRanger #MazdaBT50 #P0107 #P2263 #P2227 #P0101 #MAPsensor #TurboDiesel #MechanicDIY www. deadtoaliveengines.co.nz #mechaniclife #Chevrolet #Ford #Holden #Kiwi #NZ #Waikato #Tirau #CambridgeNZ #autorepair #mechanic
