A massive 80,000-ton grain silo. A darkening Shanghai skyline. And a typhoon approaching.
Welcome to a cinematic 4K HDR walking tour through Minsheng Wharf, Pudong, Shanghai, where one of the city's most striking pieces of industrial heritage stands beside the Huangpu River.
Built as an enormous grain storage complex, Shanghai's 80,000-ton silo has become an extraordinary example of industrial heritage and urban renewal. Its massive concrete cylinders, weathered surfaces and brutalist geometry create a completely different side of Shanghai — far away from the neon lights of the Bund.
We begin at 6:00 PM, just before the typhoon, as dark clouds gather over the Huangpu River. Walking through Minsheng Wharf, we encounter abandoned industrial structures, riverside paths, the massive silo complex and the distant Yangpu Bridge.
No talking. No music. Just Shanghai.
