How a Boy With a Used Go-Kart Took Over Formula 1 | Documentary

Before the world championships, there was a boy in Stevenage and a family working to keep him racing. Lewis Hamilton — Beyond the Finish Line follows his journey from childhood karting to McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari. Through race footage, interviews and animated explanations, we explore the victories, rivalries and difficult decisions that shaped his career. Behind the trophies were his father’s sacrifices, the cost of competing, and the racism Hamilton faced as he worked his way into Formula 1. Success brought new pressures: expectations, painful defeats, and a life lived under constant scrutiny. This is the story of a driver who reached the top of his sport and began asking what he could do with the influence he had earned. AfroCortex documents Black achievement around the world, exploring the people, choices, and work behind it.
