Ghost Star - Eastern Gate | Official Music Video [4K]

A star that died long ago. Its light is still arriving. Eastern Gate is the opening track of Old Light, the debut album by Ghost Star: a 4K music video that follows a dead star's light as it crosses gate after gate toward an ordinary dawn. The lyrics draw themselves into the light as they are sung, and the ancient mantra (Gate Gate Paragate) appears with its sing-along pronunciation, so you can chant along. The journey opens in a cold interstellar dark where one warm point drifts through hairline glass arcs, then descends into a sea of sleeping metal bowls waiting for their first strike. A burning spine of lantern vertebrae reveals that the gate was never in the mountain, and a flooded night hall must be poured out before the climb can begin. A staircase with no ground gives way to terraces that erase themselves into rising grain, a hall of hanging bells becomes architecture built from sound, and a loom of magenta thread weaves the sun itself. Chant furnaces, a plum glass arch and a bone white basin of silence lead to the taiko drum engine that throws open a sky wide gate of cyan lightning over a black mirror lake. From there the drums become a molten sun, an orbital city hangs around a dark core, a coral cathedral breathes pollen light, and the road opens at last onto a white gold dawn and the same lavender afterlight as the first frame. 00:00 Arriving Light Field 0:23 Sea Of Sleeping Bowls 0:45 The Burning Spine 0:56 Night Held In Hands 1:13 Stair Without Mountain 1:30 Terraces Of Vanishing 1:47 Lapis Bell Observatory 2:01 Magenta Solar Loom 2:16 Chant Furnace Gold 2:27 Plum Gate Of Crossing 2:38 Pearl Silence Basin 2:49 Crimson Drum Engine 3:01 Electric Gate Opens 3:12 Molten Drum Sun 3:29 Deep Purple Orbit City 3:46 Rose Pollen Cathedral 4:00 Brass Sage Machine 4:20 Scarlet Ignition Field 4:31 Violet Chant Ascension 4:42 White Gold Dawn Road 4:54 Lavender Afterlight LYRICS Before the first thin line of morning I held the night like it was mine the gate was never in the mountain the gate was burning in the spine Gah-tay Gah-tay Pah-rah-gah-tay I climbed until the climbing vanished I was the summit and the stair the sun does not arrive to wake you the sun is something that you wear Gah-tay Gah-tay Pah-rah-gah-tay Pah-rah-sahm-gah-tay Boh-dhee Svah-hah (Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha: the closing mantra of the Heart Sutra, "gone, gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond, awakening, so be it") OLD LIGHT, THE ALBUM All platforms: https://release.landr.com/ghoststar Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/49wqrJ...
