When I was a young 19 year old in my mom's house I had big ambitions about what I wanted my youtube videos to look like, but lacked the skills and space to do it. This time I decided to try and make this video exactly what I dreamed of all those years ago. This time around, I made sure I would do everything I could to nail all the parts I couldn't back then, notably all of the arpeggios that simply weren't in the cards for me at the time. It's very nice to see the clear improvements not just in my sound and mixing, but playing as well. I took a painstaking amount of time to master everything before recording it down for this. We've been having fun dressing up Yuna in different costumes over the years and since her face is so teddy bear like, when we put her in a Banjo backpack, it was too heart-melting NOT to include her in the video. Hope you enjoy her cameos here. We also tried to use the fog machine, but after the mess it made during the Replay 2025 video, we were scared to use it too much and unfortunately it was more subtle than expected. Hope it still made it just a little more special and the effort is apparent. The theramin parts were emulated using a metal slide and my Schecter SLS's Sustainiac system. It's mixed in with a virtual instrument theramin, but I definitely wanted something closer to the sound than just playing it normally like I did 16 years ago. I've been playing an insane amount of Banjo-Kazooie this year as I've been helping make the Poptracker for the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie Archipelago Multiworld Implementation by PixelShake92. It felt like the perfect year to revisit this one so I hope when that releases you'll all give it a try! A lot of work went into this one so I hope it helps get you in the Halloween spirit this year.
