If you ever watch F1, you hear about computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulations all the time. But, have you ever wondered how they do this, and if you can do it to? Well you can, and it might be more simple than you think. In this video you will learn how to install OpenFoam, the program that we will use to simulate the front wing in the next video. In addition to that, I will also tell you some recommenced minimum computer specs, which base case to copy, and what each file and folder in openFoam does. I realize this video is quite long and might not be needed for everyone, so I have included chapter to help yoou get around the video quickly. 0:00 Introduction 0:30 Linux and system requirements 2:35 Results showcase 5:04 Installing OpenFoam 9:53 Linux Basics 13:56 Selecting and coping a base case 19:20 Explaining OpenFoam files and folders 31:56 Running our first simulation 34:11 Looking at our results 36:49 Conclusion Links: How install Linux (Ubuntu) : https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop/thank-...
