Could You Live Here? 29 Homes on Boats, Rooftops and Among the Dead | Impossible Places 4K

Most of us never think about the ground under our feet. But could you live on a boat your whole life, on a rooftop above the desert, or in a house among the graves? For some people, that's simply home. In this calm 4K travel documentary, we journey to impossible places across Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. You'll meet sea nomads who have lived on boats for generations and visit a floating town off the coast of China. You'll see Kashmir's carved cedar houseboats, a restaurant built around centuries-old graves, and a desert town where women once walked across the rooftops. There are cave homes whose roofs became streets, and a forest of 200,000 graves where monks still carry meals to a teacher believed to be in eternal meditation. Every one of these homes has a reason to exist: water, wind, faith, the price of land, or simple human stubbornness. And somewhere in America, there is a small town where the dead outnumber the living nearly a thousand to one. We end there. Every place is real. Sit back, and discover how people live when solid ground isn't the obvious choice. 🕰️ Before we begin: what time is it where you're watching, and which country are you joining us from? Tell us in the comments. 💬 Which of these homes would you choose for a season, and why? Tell us in the comments. 🌍 Welcome to World Untold Today: a journey into the impossible places where people still find a way to live.
