Mid-Autumn Festival is supposed to be a time for family reunion in China. But this year, I spent it alone in my small apartment. I cleaned my room, went to Walmart, bought some dumplings, came back home, and made a simple meal for myself. Then my wife video called me. My son saw me eating dumplings and said, “Eating dumplings!” He’ll be four years old soon. He was born very premature and weighed only about 1.8 pounds at birth. He spent almost 100 days in the NICU and went through two major intestinal surgeries. He made it through all of that. He’s a strong little boy, and I’m very proud of him. But I’m also missing a lot of his childhood. That’s one of the reasons I’m trying to become a YouTuber.
