Me vs. 30+ KM Hike -- Who Wins ?

I started this hike at around 7:40 AM with one goal: finish a 30+ kilometer hike that I had never attempted before. I finished at around 4:30 PM. Is this the longest or hardest hike ever? Absolutely not. I know there are people out there doing much longer distances, multi-day hikes and actual ultra-distance challenges. But that’s not really the point. I’ve never done a hike this long before. And sometimes, you don’t need to do something extreme to challenge yourself. You just need to put yourself in a situation that’s uncomfortable enough to make you question whether you can actually finish. For me, this hike was that challenge. And now that I’ve done it, I know I can push the level a little higher for the next adventure.
