Liverpool Cathedral - Holly Bough Procession - 23rd December 2012

The Holly Bough Carol Service is held on the last Sunday before Christmas every year. Towards the end of the service, the Holly Bough, escorted by the Probationer Choristers holding candles and Christmas trees, is carried the full length of the Cathedral. The Holly Bough procession begins near the Christmas Crib by the West Doors and comes to rest at the foot of the Cross, which is the focal point of the reredos above the High Altar. The first part of the video is filmed from the South Central Gallery, next to the pipes of the Central division of the Cathedral Organ, unfortunately not the best place for sound recording!
