How does the 4BT Start in the Cold? Plus a Square Junk Harry Cold Start!

The 1977 4BT Cummins Ford F250 demonstrates a Cold Start and uses the Grid Heater for a starting aid. Square Junk Harry also is started for fun. Temps overnight were -5* F and about 20* F at the time of the start. The Ford has a 4BT Cummins, ZF547, BW1356, Dana 60-80. This truck is a cold starting champ. Even with two worn 1000CCA batteries, the grid heater makes for no drama.
