Many years after her trip to Neverland, an adult Astrid, who maintains her belief and knowledge of Oh Pan, is married to a soldier named Eugene, and becomes a mother, having two children, Penny and Russell. With World War II raging, Eugene leaves his family to fight in the war, leaving Astrid to take care of the children.
