#Malo42 #SolarPanels #SailingDIY Hi everyone! 👋 GoodGirl is officially solar powered — and this is the full story of how we got there! ☀️⚡⛵ In this video we tackle the wiring of the solar panels generously gifted to us by our very good friends Sebastian — a huge thank you! 💙🙏 The panels are not the newest or most efficient on the market, but on a good sunny day they contribute around 50 to 60% of our daily power consumption, which is a fantastic result and a real step towards energy independence. ☀️🔋 The install meant some very tight work in the stern lazaret — in and out what felt like a million times, always missing the one tool you actually need. 😄🔧 Classic boat (yoga) work. And in the spirit of full honesty — while editing this video I spotted a potential wiring mistake. The negative cable may be connected directly to the battery bus bar before the shunt, which could explain some of the discrepancies between our Victron battery monitor and the LiTime battery readings. 😬⚡ We are on it and will keep you posted! This is not the end of the solar chapter either — we are already designing a new support for additional panels, because where we are heading there will be plenty of sunshine and we fully intend to be completely energy independent. 🌍☀️ Stay tuned for that!
