Devils Triangle 2026

🏍️ Knoxville, TN → Devil’s Triangle | Tennessee Backroad Motorcycle Ride This ride took us from the Baymont Hotel in Knoxville, Tennessee, to the Devil’s Triangle in the Cumberland Plateau mountains just north of Oak Ridge, TN. The goal was to stay off the main highways and find as many twisty, entertaining back roads as possible. Along the way, we ended up crossing a mountain on a section of dirt road filled with tight switchbacks. It was definitely an interesting part of the ride, but with the mix of bikes we were riding, it wasn't exactly the most enjoyable section. At the bottom of the Devil’s Triangle, we stopped at the old Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. We had lunch at the brewery on site, which also offers tastings. It was a really cool stop and a great place to take a break after riding the mountain roads. We drove up to the penitentiary itself but didn't do the tour this time. Maybe next year!
