The Batman (Theme) | The Dark Knight Trilogy (OST) by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard

The Dark Knight Trilogy, directed by Christopher Nolan and released from 2005 to 2012, is widely considered as one of the best superhero trilogy ever, and especially 2008's 'The Dark Knight' is still acclaimed today as one of the greatest movies ever made. Taking a different direction compared to the older Batman movies, Nolan succeded with the difficult task of taking the character in a more grounded and modern setting and lead him in through a compelling arc and development. A lot of credit must go also to Christian Bale, who delivered a constantly great performance both physically and emotionally, and the composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard for writing their iconic and memorable musical score. For this montage, which is the longest and most complex suite I've done so far, I gathered together the various Batman themes used in the trilogy and organizing them to follow more closely the progressive order of the movies. Most of the themes are established in "Batman Begins", like the simple two-note theme from the opening titles, the triumphant climax used in the end credits which makes its first appearance in "The Bat Cave", and the classic action theme "Molossus". There is one additional major theme introduced in "The Dark Knight", the thrilling and suspenceful motif in "Like A Dog Chasing Cars", which becomes really intertwined with the previous Batman themes in the final two chapters of the trilogy. The scores from the three movies are incredibly consistent, which is a rarity in the current blockbuster industry of Hollywood, and all combined managed to establish a grandiose and spectacular tone for Nolan's version of Batman. = edited Tracklist: 00:00 Vespertilio 02:21 Vespertilio + The Bat Cave 02:34 The Bat Cave 05:00 Fernet-Branca 05:03 Backup 06:31 Your System Is Broken 07:10 Your System Is Broken + Decision 07:16 Decision 08:37 Decision + Rachel Attacked 08:47 Rachel Attacked 09:35 Finders Keepers 10:21 Finders Keepers + Rescue Rachel 10:26 Rescue Rachel 12:00 Final Confrontation 13:10 Dockyard Ambush 13:20 Gordon Says Thanks 13:31 Train Fight 16:38 Molossus 21:27 Find the Batman 23:08 LSI Extraction 26:59 Back to Batcave * 27:45 Back to Batcave + Buyers Beware 27:51 Buyers Beware 30:35 Pod Deploy 31:18 Panic Room 31:43 And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad + Panic Room 31:46 And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad 32:46 Hospital Scare A 32:59 And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad 34:12 And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad + Explosion Aftermath 34:17 Explosion Aftermath 34:52 Sonar System * 36:37 Sonar System + Explosion Aftermath 36:51 Like A Dog Chasing Cars 37:10 Like A Dog Chasing Cars + Always a Catch 37:15 Like A Dog Chasing Cars 37:19 Like A Dog Chasing Cars + Always a Catch 37:27 Always a Catch 39:19 Always a Catch + Storming Pruitt Building 39:27 Storming Pruitt Building 40:02 Like A Dog Chasing Cars 41:25 Like A Dog Chasing Cars + Storming Pruitt Building * 41:37 Like A Dog Chasing Cars 41:47 Storming Pruitt Building 44:07 Come With Me 45:55 Miranda Visits Wayne / Take Me to Bane 46:05 Remember Where You Parked It? 46:57 On Thin Ice / Batman Returns 50:18 Batman Chased (Film Version) 54:41 Imagine the Fire (Part 1) 56:49 Imagine the Fire (Part 2) 57:49 Chasing the Convoy East 1:01:12 Rise 1:08:13 Fernet-Branca 1:08:15 End Credits (Batman Begins) 1:09:28 Backup 1:09:41 End Credits (The Dark Knight Rises) #batman #thedarkknight #hanszimmer #jamesnewtonhoward #christophernolan
