The Life Service - Sunday 23rd August 2026 – Living Different 10: Stepping Out by Sue

Welcome to Living Different, our series through 1 Peter. This is the last talk in this series. Peter wrote to ordinary believers living in a culture that didn't share their values. They were chosen by God, set apart for His purposes, and called to live faithfully in the world around them. His message is just as relevant today. The title Living Different is intentional. While "Living Differently" might be more grammatically correct, Peter's focus is not simply on behaving differently, but on being different because of who we are in Christ. Throughout the letter, believers are described as chosen, holy, foreigners and exiles. We are set apart by God, and our lives flow from that identity. In this series, we'll explore what it means to follow Jesus with hope, courage and conviction in everyday life, standing firm in our faith while engaging with the world around us.
