Full Super Idol: Center of Attention boss guide, made during 4.2: • Super Idol: Center of Attention COMPLETE B...
Just gonna copy and paste one of my update comments under that video...
The timer for Live Showdown only allows Super Idol to take two turns after initially starting Live Showdown, which means each Output Port can have the max stack effect trigger 3 times, resulting in removing 90% enemy HP. Sure, you can break Super Idol right after, but by virtue of not having won Live Showdown, your main damage window is weaker since the boss won't have the 100% damage taken increase debuff.
In phase 1, this means that unless whoever you put in the subfield can actually do some DPS, they aren't gonna clear Live Showdown. In a Rincher team, I'd put Rin in the subfield; I had mine on full speed (2047 ATK, 169 SPD, 69.6% CR, 98.9% CD, no offensive sets) and she was just barely able to deal enough damage to clear that last 10% enemy HP. If your Rin isn't able to clear, then I'd put PT inside instead, since losing Live Showdown will Entangle him, which shouldn't affect rotations. Just remember that, as I noted above, losing Live Showdown means your main damage window from having broken the boss will be weaker.
Phase 2 is a little different because Rocking Rebels increase the speed of other enemies when it uses "Get Hyped!" without having been hit by an Aha Instant prior (which isn't typically going to happen with a non-Elation team). This enables Super Idol to get a third turn within Live Showdown's duration, meaning Output Ports can be full triggered four times, meaning you can actually clear phase 2 Live Showdown just by hitting Output Ports. At this point, the potential issue then lies with timings and speed thresholds. Without having Sparkle on DDD Eagle, I wasn't able to get her to take a turn before Super Idol after the second Rocking Rebel used "Get Hyped!," which meant I wasn't able to take advantage of the extra opportunity to full trigger an Output Port. It's definitely doable though. If you want to go with this strat in phase 2, I'd recommend putting Sparkle in the subfield, so she gets more energy from getting hit so she can push more often.
