Discover WI - Lake Superior National Scenic Byway

Discover Wisconsin highlights some of the special places along the Wisconsin Lake Superior Scenic Byway that helped it attain National Scenic Byway designation. Here in Bayfield County, nature, history, and culture are woven together in a beautiful tapestry along the shore of Lake Superior. Highlights include the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center (a great place to start your visit), the Washburn Cultural Center, lakefront trails, artesian wells, pristine beaches, orchards and berry farms, the Apfelhaus Cidery, the City of Bayfield with great restaurants that serve fresh, locally caught fish, shops and galleries, performances at the Big Top Chautauqua, cozy lodging options, the Madeline Island Ferry, Frog Bay Tribal National Park, the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, Cornucopia's Siskiwit Falls and sunset at the Herbster beach.
