Esther Blackwood | The Bird Inside My Chest [Progressive Rock | Gothic | AI 4K]

What if grief is not something we simply carry... but something alive inside us? “The Bird Inside My Chest” is a cinematic journey through memory, absence, longing and the invisible weight of everything we are unable to leave behind. Esther walks through an impossible landscape where familiar objects have been stripped from their original context: a lone door standing beneath an enormous moon, a house slowly disappearing into water, an empty bed, a flooded room, a corridor of doors, a forgotten telephone, a long table, fragments of a home suspended between memory and reality. At the center of it all is the bird. Not a literal bird. A metaphor. Something fragile and restless living inside the chest — a memory, a loss, a love, a wound, or perhaps something that was never allowed to leave. The dark strap across Esther's chest becomes another symbol: restraint, protection, memory and the things we convince ourselves we must keep holding onto. Throughout the film, it slowly loosens. And eventually, it falls away. The video was conceived as a surreal cinematic piece inspired by conceptual photography, progressive-rock visual language and dreamlike storytelling. Rather than explaining the story, the images are designed to be felt — leaving space for each viewer to decide what the bird means. No ghosts. No monsters. No easy answers. Only memory, silence, and the possibility of finally letting something fly. 🎵 THE BIRD INSIDE MY CHEST Written, sung and performed by Esther Blackwood.
