Everyone Laughed at Michael Jordan’s Final Move… Until Now.

On June 22, 2023, inside the Spectrum Center, Charlotte Hornets fans booed their own draft pick out of the building. With Michael Jordan preparing to sell the franchise after 13 years of draft nightmares—from Kwame Brown to Adam Morrison and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist—the entire basketball world expected Charlotte to take G-League Ignite phenom Scoot Henderson at #2 overall. Instead, Jordan made one final call: Brandon Miller. Three years later, in October 2026, that decision looks completely different. After surviving a brutal shoulder injury, powering a historic 40-24 turnaround alongside rookie sharpshooter Kon Knueppel, and prompting the Hornets front office to trade away both LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, Brandon Miller is now the undisputed face of the Charlotte Hornets—and in line for a $204M+ rookie max extension. This is the full story of how Michael Jordan tuned out the noise on his final night in charge, why the Scoot Henderson vs. Brandon Miller debate flipped on its head, and how the GOAT finally got one right. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ⏱️ CHAPTERS / TIMESTAMPS: 0:00 - Prologue: Michael Jordan’s 13-Year Draft Curse 1:12 - The Night Charlotte Booed Brandon Miller 2:30- The Pre-Draft Circus & MJ’s Secret Workout 3:55 - Scoot Henderson vs. The 6'9" Modern Wing 4:30 - The 2026 Turnaround, Kon Knueppel & The $204M Reset 7:10 - Epilogue: The GOAT Finally Got One Right ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏀 SUBSCRIBE to ZeroCoverage for deep-dive NBA documentaries, roster breakdowns, and front-office stories every week! 💬 QUESTION FOR THE COMMENTS: Did you think Charlotte made a mistake taking Brandon Miller over Scoot Henderson in 2023, or did you see the vision from day one?
