After lots of hard work, the big moment is finally here – the full plumbing setup is complete, and the pond is filling up for the first time! In this video, I take you through the final stages of upgrading my koi pond, including the full installation and plumbing of the Filtreau Excellent Drum Filter and the Colby Koi 500L Dual Bio Chamber. You'll also see the setup of the 3-stage water purification system and the massive 36” Big Blue unit filled with bone char carbon to remove chlorine and heavy metals from the water. I also walk through the installation of the pond return lines, auto top-up system, and reflect on how productive this final week has been — transforming my pond into a completely new setup ready for the return of the koi.
