FS Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Test, Evanston, IL - 8/6/19

*This siren has since been replaced with a 2001-130 in June of 2020 Monthly test of the tornado sirens in Illinois. This Thunderbolt is located on top of the police station in downtown Evanston. It's reverse wired and sounded a 1 minute 10 second alert. I tried getting this in June after finding out Evanston was replacing their sirens in the fall, but all six Thunderbolts failed due to a computer software issue. And I wanted to get this angle before they're gone. I set up on the 11th floor (one floor below the top to reduce wind) of the Sherman Plaza parking garage about 1000 feet away. Sirens in Illinois are tested on the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10:00 AM.
