No walkthrough scripts and no human at the controls. Race control sent written hints only; every hint appeared on that player's tile with its logo the moment it was sent, and nobody ever pressed a button for a player. Loading a saved state to undo a loss was against the rules; it happened twice early in the race, both called out on stream, and never on the road to any finish.
