Hi all,
this is one of the most unusual updates I have ever filmed for the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain Project.
In this video, I follow the project from King George Station toward Highway 15, with a major focus on the Surrey Sprinter launching gantry, which is now only 4 spans away from Green Timbers Station.
This update shows major guideway progress, station-area construction, elevated columns, ongoing work along Fraser Highway, and the rapid transformation of the corridor.
And near the end of this update, something unexpected happened — I lost my drone while filming. Thankfully, I was able to recover it later, but it came back with broken propellers.
The Surrey-Langley SkyTrain project will extend the Expo Line 16 kilometres, mainly along Fraser Highway, from King George Station in Surrey to 203 Street in Langley City. The project includes eight stations and three transit exchanges, with the current anticipated in-service date listed as late 2029.
Location: Surrey, British Columbia
Project: Surrey-Langley SkyTrain
Section covered: King George Station to Highway 15
Main highlight: Surrey Sprinter — 4 spans from Green Timbers Station
