We know that plastics are everywhere, from the food we eat to the air we breathe. They're in the depths of our oceans and have been found in every remote corner of the planet. But their smallest fragments, both microplastics and nanoplastics, are making their way into our bodies, including our brains via the blood brain barrier and even into breast milk. Once inside our bodies the plastic particles can leach harmful chemicals such as BPA, phthalates and other endocrine disruptors that can have devastating impacts on our bodies health including fertility and other aspects of reproductive health.
