So here it is, the big day for Zach's SDR surgery (selective dorsal rhizotomy). Join us as we share our family story of surgery- braving this long-awaited day. We share a bit about what SDR actually is, and how this amazing surgery can help people with cerebral palsy. SDR is an operation used to improve spasticity (muscle stiffness) in cerebral palsy (CP). For many kids this surgery allows them to learn to walk, but for us we are not sure- but know regardless this will be life changing in reducing pain and increasing Zachs range. We also share how we all get through this massive day. So many emotions and so much for our sweet little boy to go through. Overall, we are so grateful we have the chance for this surgery, and how well Zach did. Join the joyful journey and get weekly exclusive behind the scenes content.
