Railfanning the Z trains on the LIRR

Taken on Sunday February 20th, 2022 and Monday February 21st, 2022. The Z trains ran again. This time 3 days in a row. I only went out for them on Sunday and Monday. Last time I got them at every station so this time I went to most of the crossings on the line. The only crossings I missed were the crossings that are actually at stations. 1 crossing I did miss was the crossing just west of Central Islip. Seen here is also a train pulling into Ronkonkoma, 2 trains leaving Farmingdale, a Z train at the Main Street, and 2 trains on the Central next to Beth interlocking crossing an overpass on Merritts road on the central branch. I also got a chance to see the RS70 head east which is included in this video. The RS71 is not included cause for some reason I missed it. After going from 1 crossing to another we drove like 10 minutes and somehow missed it by a hair without even knowing about it until later on. When we left the crossing there was no sign of the 71. When we got to the next crossing there was no sign that it passed. What are the odds. But anyways still a fun time catching the famous Z trains once again. Enjoy!
