2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE400 in for a full paintwork ceramic coating at Car Revival Studio. This was a proper 7-stage process: • Autoglym Polar Blast • Hand wash • Careful hand dry and blow dry • Clay bar treatment • Machine finishing polish • Final paint preparation, degrease and panel wipe • Ceramic coating application The GLE stayed in my studio for 2 days because ceramic coating is not something that should be rushed. The preparation takes time, and once the coating is applied it also needs sufficient curing time. The ceramic coating manufacturer recommends keeping the vehicle dry and out of rain for approximately 12 to 24 hours after application, which is another advantage of having the work completed inside my clean, controlled studio. The paintwork already had a good shine when it arrived, but the finished result is on another level. It now has a much deeper, richer gloss with that thick, glass-like appearance, almost as though an additional layer of clear coat has been applied. The results really do speak for themselves.
