Will Hines pitches a guitar teacher obsessed with Santana's "Smooth"

Our guest this week is Will Hines! Will is an incredibly funny improviser, writer, and podcaster, plus he's a longtime collaborator of ours. He's currently directing our sketch show, so he's all too used to hearing our pitches. Pitches this week include a guitar teacher who only uses Santana's "Smooth" as an example, Meta's pervert certification program, a "don't talk to me 'til I've had my coffee" standoff, a kidnapper who can't prove his victim is actually alive, an annual check-up where everything costs extra, and an intervention for the Lucky Charms leprechaun. And please check out Will's other podcasts: Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About the Beatles; Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About Comics; and How Do You Get Through The Day. 00:00 Introduction to Lunch Pitches 02:44 Do you like pitching? 06:01 Guitar teacher that only uses Santana's Smooth as an example 09:41 Meta's pervert certification program 13:18 Don't talk to me 'til I've had my coffee standoff 17:58 Kidnapper can't prove victim is actually alive 22:26 Annual check-up where everything costs extra 26:29 Intervention for Lucky Charms leprechaun 30:54 Outro Follow us on: Instagram:   / mattanddru   TikTok: https://bit.ly/4xT1Czp Audio-only Lunch Pitches episodes on: Apple Podcasts: https://bit.ly/4yASrDE Spotify: https://bit.ly/3V7Vq83 RSS: https://bit.ly/4xY3ZAY For live show dates and to sign up for our newsletter, visit https://www.mattanddru.com Music licensed through Soundstripe.
