Devil May Cry's Platforming is FINE

Let's rock, baby (again, now that the Spidey stuff is done for the time being.) After repeatedly seeing people whining about how unbearable the Platforming in DMC is, I thought it would be fun to both dissect it a little bit, and offer advice for how to easily get any jumps the game presents to you done.
