Long before the cities we know existed, humanity looked towards the sky and wondered what lay beyond it.
Across the vast steppes of ancient Mongolia, generations lived and disappeared beneath an immense sky. The wind moved across the earth. Civilisations rose and crumbled. And beyond everything the human eye could see, questions remained.
What if the physical world is only one layer of existence?
What if the unseen has always existed alongside us, beyond the limits of our understanding?
The Others is a collection of dark, ancient Mongolian-inspired soundscapes exploring the possibility of a spiritual realm beyond the physical world.
Deep Mongolian throat singing rises from low, sustained vocal drones. The resonant tones of the morin khuur drift through immense, hollow spaces, while a slow, muffled heartbeat persists beneath the music. Unsettling harmonies and shifting overtones create an atmosphere of ancient mystery, spiritual unease, and unanswered questions.
Inspired by the vastness of the Mongolian landscape, the resonance of traditional vocal techniques, and humanity's enduring fascination with the unseen, these soundscapes inhabit a world suspended between the physical and the unknown.
For existential horror, dark fantasy, writing, worldbuilding, deep focus, or simply exploring the spaces beyond the familiar.
There are things we cannot see.
Things we may never understand.
And perhaps the most unsettling question is not whether something exists beyond our perception, but how much of our reality we have never truly known.
