Chasing those fragments became ‘Where the South Winds Wail' — less a collection of songs than a séance with an unknown past. Surf twang, blues exotica, and psychedelic cumbia intertwine, all steeped in the city’s humid mysticism. Cinematic, soulful, and raw, it feels like a prayer echoing after midnight. For the first time, Gitkin’s voice steps forward to guide the ritual.
