Skoda Octavia Mk 2 inner door panel installation

This shows the inner door panel being refitted after replacing the window regulator cables. Instead of using pop rivets to reattach the panel I drilled out the holes to 7mm and used M5 aluminium rivnuts. I then used some M5 countersunk screws in conjunction with some M6 washers. As it turned out it was a good job that I didn't use pop rivets as I had to remove the panel to fish out one of the plastic dowls that dropped down inside the door. Do not switch the ignition on with the crash sensor disconnected otherwise you will need a scan tool to reset the airbag warning light.
