When Faith Becomes More Than Survival, with Noelle Cablay

In this deeply honest episode of Living Testimonies, I sit down with Noelle Cablay—author, musician, and Adjunct Professor of Music at Biola University—to talk about faith, identity, love, and the journey of discovering who God is in the midst of life’s unexpected seasons. Noelle shares her powerful story of growing up in difficult circumstances, facing a rare and life-threatening cancer diagnosis, and experiencing God’s presence throughout a challenging season of treatment. She also opens up about a profound moment of grace at Sainte-Chapelle in France that became a meaningful part of her journey. We talk about the difference between simply surviving with faith and developing a faith that becomes fully integrated into who we are. Noelle shares how God reshaped her understanding of love—not as something that diminishes us, but as something that restores dignity and identity. In this episode, we explore: • What it means to move from surviving faith to fully integrated faith • Trusting God when the future is unknown • Finding God’s presence in the middle of uncertainty • How our understanding of love can be transformed by Christ • The connection between suffering, faith, and purpose • How God can use our stories to encourage others No matter what season you’re walking through, Noelle’s story is a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to know what lies ahead to trust the One who does.
