Waffles and Wheels Part 1: The House and the Port

Welcome to Part 1 of our 2-part motorcycle ride video series, "Waffles & Wheels"! In this series, a spontaneous evening ride turns into an awesome multi-state adventure. We hit the open highway from South Jersey down to Delaware for a Waffle House run, then push deep into Maryland to chase the sunset across historic landmarks and scenic twisty roads. In Part 1, the journey kicks off as five of us hit the highway under endless evening clouds. We cross the massive Delaware Memorial Bridge and navigate northern Delaware before pulling into Waffle House for food and a quick bike walk-through. Not ready to end the camaraderie or the ride, we decide to push further into Maryland. We carve past cornfields, historic stone structures, and cross the Conowingo Dam over the Susquehanna River right at sunset, eventually rolling into historic Port Deposit, MD. HISTORIC SPOTLIGHT: Port Deposit, MD, nestled along the Susquehanna River, dates back to the 1700s and became a major 19th-century trade hub famous for shipping timber and granite. Its historic stone buildings and riverside charm make it an awesome stop on any ride!
