Apache Junction, Arizona - A Bike Tour of "The Home of the Superstitions". Apache Junction, Arizona, is a small city located about 30 miles east of downtown Phoenix. It is a beautiful location, bordered on the north by the Goldfield Mountains, and to the east by the Superstitions. I've lived in Apache Junction for about five years, and really enjoy being here. The town is growing steadily, but maybe not as fast as some of the other areas of the valley, and there is still a lot of open space here and no traffic.
