My Top 200 Anime Openings of All Time

The list no one asked for! Now with extra copystrikes and pitch shifting! The very first draft for this list dates back to 2018 and ONLY six years later it's finally done. It's way too much to accurately rank over 200 openings, so this list is ranked in a tier list kinda way. The color of the number/rank determines the tier so: RED = D || ORANGE = C || YELLOW = B || GREEN = A || TOP 5 = S This means that any given opening tiered in let's say B, are technically interchangeable. This doesn't mean the rankings themselves are arbitrary though. High B are ALWAYS gonna rank higher than low B. All openings are ranked based on these criteria in this order: 1. Have I watched the anime? (There are some exceptions e.g. Bleach & Gintama) 2. How good is the song itself? 3. Catchiness (e.g. 94, 126) 4. Band/Artist (e.g. AKFG, SPYAIR, TRUE, nano.RIPE, KANA-BOON, LiSA) 5. Visuals (e.g. 100, 155, 156) 6. Nostalgia (e.g. 46, 84) 7. Uniqueness (e.g. 83, 153, 164) 8. How well does the OP fit the show? (e.g. 41, 136) 9. Attached memes/dances (e.g. 61, 79, 224) 10. Enjoyment of the anime (e.g. 27, 42) The higher the ranking, the more likely it is that multiple of these criteria are met.
