The remarkable Axelson heavy duty engine lathe

Axelson unique among most lathe builders with its instant reversing 24 speed geared head, also the build of the machine includes cast steel on cast iron sliding surfaces on the cross slide and compound rest making for less friction and wear, there is ample room for change gears for threading in any system making the Axelson a world class machine, however few were exported and less than 6000 produced.
