Not the camping night we had in mind!

Dispersed camping can be fun, but it can also be tough if you find popular spots. We didn't realize Mammoth Creek was a popular spot near Duck Creek when we drove there to camp. We then went searching for a new camp site, thought we found the perfect spot, unfortunately, we didn't realize it was occupied by bees and flies. I'm not talking about a few, enough that the dogs were annoyed and trying to eat them because they wouldn't leave them alone. We did end up finding a nice spot and saw Pronghorn, but it was a struggle of a day. I'm glad we prepped most of our dinner food so we could enjoy the rest of the night. The night sky was amazing!
