An early summer walk around Shipley and Knepp Estate, West Sussex

Join us on an early summer walk in the countryside of an area of West Sussex that many drive through but few stop. We start and end our walk near the beautiful Shipley Mill. We made our way east, via footpaths and country lanes, toward the remains of Knepp Castle and the grounds of the Knepp Estate. Within the grounds of the estate we encountered a herd of cows, a stunning fallow deer, and enjoyed the array of bird song at the lake, with bird song being a feature throughout the entire walk. Returning to the lovely hamlet of Shipley, we took a walk around the 12 century Norman Church of St Mary The Virgin. We hope you enjoyed watching as much as we enjoyed walking. John & Diana
