The Turning | Ledger of Second Light — Episode 7

Thursday’s high water is coming. With sacks laid between the tides, a barred river door and a rope taught by the landing-keeper, Daniel takes his place beside the sill. As the river searches for the low corner, keeping the common floor dry comes down to ordinary work done in time. An original episode of Ledger of Second Light — a quiet harbor serial of lamps, ledgers, and small decisive hours.
