Boulder Lake (Hiking with Smokey)

Morningstar NRCA closed this trail long ago due to the old bridge deteriorating. Recently, I heard they were working on reopening it, and let me tell you, "some work" is an understatement. They've put in a massive effort to restore this trail. The first 3 miles are flat and uneventful. However, the next 4 miles are in fantastic shape. While a few sections are well-trimmed, they remain lush and could use more foot traffic to fully establish the trail.
