In this talk from Green Gulch Farm, Gengyoko Tim Wicks—currently serving as tanto (head of practice) at the City Center temple—explores the experience of awe, the Satipatthana Sutra—an important Theravadan sutra—and the relationship of both awe and this sutra to Zen practice. The Satipatthana Sutra introduces the objective meditation techniques used in Vipassana and Tim likens the instructions in the sutra to our "objectless" Zen practice.
